Avanapparamb Maheswaran Namboodiripad (Late)

Coming from the legacy of the blessed family tradition of Hasthyaayurveda and Vishavaidya. Many renowned personalities of the family, namely Sri Nambiathan Namboothiripad and Narayanan Namboothiripad were very famous in their well-verse knowledge and practice.

Avanapparamb Maheswaran Namboodiripad was taught Sanskrit, Vaidyam, etc by his grandfather’s brother in childhood, along with Vedandhyayana. After school education, he learned radio engineering at Trichy and passed out the course with first class. He built a career in that field. He started practicing Hasthyaayurveda and Vishavaidya at the age of 40 according to the wish and blessings from his guru. Countless lives were saved by his treatment (including snake bites) and many rare skin diseases got cured. All the famous elephants in Kerala were his pets and patients. He was the physician of elephants preserved by Guruvayur, Thiruvambadi and Paramekkavu Devaswams. Numerous awards and prizes like Saastramahodadhi, Ayurveda paarangata, Hasthyaayurvedacharya, etc. outshines as feathers in his crown.

Vaidyamadham Rishikumaran Namboothiri (Late)

Being a part of the Ashtavaidya tradition Sri Vaidyamadhom Rishikumaran Namboodiri known by short name VRN, learnt the primary lessons of Ayurveda from his father late Vaidyamadhom Valiya Narayanan Namboodiri in childhood itself. He had also completed his academic degree course in Ayurveda from Vaidyratnam Ayurveda College, Ollur. He had a successful career as a Govt. Medical Officer. Retired as District Medical Officer under Govt of Kerala, he is currently taking care of patients from nearby.

Arya Vaidyan P V Raghava Varier

Arya Vaidyan P V Raghava Varier brought with him a rich and vast experience of more than 55 years of glorious Ayurvedic clinical practice. Passing out as the first rank holder from the Arya Vaidya Patashala at Kottakkal, Arya Vaidyan P V Raghava Varier started his long and fruitful career at Chennai. Before taking up the reigns of AVN, he rendered his services as an Ayurvedic practitioner in New Delhi, where he also had the opportunity to be the health consultant to several former Presidents of India. Having an encyclopaedic knowledge on Ayurveda, he has won several thesis competitions on different topics in Ayurveda. A religiously inclined person, Arya Vaidyan Raghava Varier had been successfully adopting a holistic approach in Ayurvedic practice.

Being a great visionary, he had spearheaded the formulation and development of many disease specific special Ayurvedic formulations. Being a socially committed person, he had been president and active participant in various forums like the Rotary club, Malayali Samajam etc.

With great enthusiasm and dedication, Dr Varier continued his mission to serve humanity through the great science of Ayurveda until his passing.

Kanippayyur Krishnan Namboothiripad

Renowned Vasthu Vidya scholar and globetrotting architect, he is the Dean of Vastuvidya Gurukulam established by the Government of Kerala’s Department of Archeology. He is also the Dean of Universities of Mahirishi Mahesh Yogi all over the world, Vasthu Vidya Prathishtanam, Kozhikode & Vasthu Academy, Thiruvananthapuram.

Ashta Vaidyan Thaikkat Divakaran Mooss

The dedication and tradition is well combined in the career of Ashtavaidyan Brahmasree E.T.Divakaran Mooss. He began his traditional Gurukula Sanskrit lessons at the age of six under Acharaya Kerala Varma and M.V.Krishna Varier.He started his career at the age of 22, after a preparatory period of 8 years under Vayaskara N.S. Mooss and P.T. Narayanan Mooss. Ashtavaidyan Brahmasree E.T.Divakaran Mooss is known as one who maintains the tradition and authenticity of Ayurveda. He is a man with boundless professional experience and is optimistic in his approach. These are his capital contribution to the growth of Ayurveda in Kerala and in the western countries. His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi appointed Ashtavaidyan Brahmasree E.T.Divakaran Mooss as the chief physician and project consultant of 120 projects world wide.He was honoured with the title Rajavaidya which means the royal physician from Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in 1997. For the successful completion of the assigned projects Ashtavaidyan Brahmasree E.T.Divakaran Mooss used to travel widely in USA, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He returned home to settle down in year 2000 after 6years of his valuable services to Maharishi Vedic University.

Today, he is acting as the chief advisor to Maharishi Ayurvedic University, Iowa, USA where world-wide co-ordination of Ayurvedic projects is done. He was a board member to the Faculty of Ayurvedic studies in the University of Calicut and the Advisory Member to the Indian System of Medicines –Kerala State. Ashtavaidyan Brahmasree E.T.Divakaran Mooss, a simple man conscious of his social responsibilities has always been in the forefront of social and cultural activities. He is the chairman and chief physician of Ashtavaidyan Thaikkattu Mooss. Aatma Ayurvedic Private Ltd., also a chief consulting physician of Keraleeya Ayurveda Samajam Shoranur, PNNM Ayurveda college Cheruthututhy. Received many awards such as Vaidyashtreshta from Bharateeya Ayurveda Paramparya Vaidya Federation, Ayurveda Puraskaram from Guruvayur Samhita Trust etc.

Ashta Vaidyan Pulamanthol Sankaran Mooss

Born in the year of 1960 at Pulamanthole Mana, one of the Ashtavaidya family, as the second child of renowned Acharya Pulamanthole Aryan Mooss and Parvathy Antharjanam.

Gained training in Kalaripayattu & Sanskrit from Poomully Mana before entry to college education.

After completing Pre Degree from MES Mannarkkad, done “Tharkkam” as part of ICVD Oriental Studies from Kancheepuram. Discontinued his degree course and studied “Ashtangahridaya” under the decipleship of his uncle Sankaran Mooss.

Later he joined Nagarjuna, Thodupuzha in 1987 and continued for 3 years. In 1996 he started practising Ayurveda under his father, Aryan Mooss. Simultaneously he continued his education in “Charaka”, “Palakpyam” and “Madangaleela” from “Arivente Thampuran” Poomully Neelakandan Namboodiripad.

All his 3 children dedicate their service to traditional Ayurveda. “SRD Ayurvedics”, A GMP certified manufacturing unit at Pulamanthole also supplementing to his great tradition.
